the doctor is out

i came and left cebu doc with a searing back pain. and they say doctors make the pain go away. jesus christ.

truth is, i've never had problems with hospitals before. neither do i fear their disinfected odor, nor the blind-white walls, nor the people running about in scrubs. i don't care about all these things.

and my back is really hurting. but at this point nobody seems to care.

well, the doctor i consulted with was nice. i was advised to have myself x-rayed, as he needs to check on my spine or something. the x-ray person, however, was quite rude. and the cashier person, the information desk person, and the philhealth person, are also rude. ruthless even.

but let me get back to the beginning of the story. i want to use my maxicare, or that insurance you get for medical-slash-dental benefits because you've been working your ass off.

and this friggin' cebu doc people cannot find a way to help me. they even refuse to stare at me. cebu doc is hell gone overboard.

i've been asked to go to all sorts of departments and i ended up in an office which is closed, thank you very much. and i am not at all thrilled with the fact that i have to walk up and about that sick hospital just to get things done.

i never got things done. i snapped and walked out because of pure and distinct agitation. i'll never go to cebu doc again. later, i'll try chong hua. maybe people are a tad nicer there. we'll see.

i find it rude that people just can't keep their mouths shut. why can't everybody give everybody some fucking space to fucking breathe?

why do i always seem like a joke to you? i am mad. all of you people are being such pains in the arse, and all of you know it.

errr... what now?

so, we are no longer allowed to speak anything but english at work. i'm dead. not that it matters, since almost 100% of our office population speak in anything but tagalog. but still. i get tongue-tied at times.

had a meeting with the ops man earlier. i died for a moment there. enough now.

good thing thing i have john and paul and ringo and george to bide my time with. they are all over my head, which kind of makes me feel like i'm on acid. not that i've taken it before. errr. okay.

i'm going to manila on february 5th. something to look forward to, as i haven't seen my own blood for six whole months. i miss my mom (yeah, i'm a mighty proud, certified mama's boy), my sibs, my dog wimp, and yes, everything contained in laguna and manila.

oops. not the traffic.

i'll be on leave for 16 days. my leave form screams, "bite me, don't even think of complaining". i haven't even been on leave for a long time. well, that's because the bulk of my leave credits were wasted on my advised-to-rest-for-so-and-so-days behavior during the first quarter of last year. hehehe.

what now? itnerary includes staying most days with my family, going out with my best bud greyweed and hopefully some of my flame blood brothers. then, there's this mall thing with ivy and i guess allen. then with my bro, jershey. maybe on most days i'll just watch tv (i don't have cable here, and my tv has no programming).

i'll have a date with my mom (my first and last, and only girlfriend, hehehehe) and just try to be closer to aidan (my godson). oh, and i can't wait to see my sister ry. and the rest of the household: ate, jay, shaun, jean and butch (our bunso, a mix of pomeranian and japanese spitz).

off for two weeks, and i can't wait much longer. bought tickets already. great thing about it is i bought a ceb-mnl-ceb ticket for 2,700 bucks. a deal is a deal. bought it right away, as seats are limited. i'll be leaving cebu at 7 pm and return at 3pm on the 21st of february. hehehehe.

guess, i won't miss cebu that much when i get to manila. or maybe i will. i'm going to miss a lot in the office, i know. and not to mention that my csat standing would probably suffer since i'll be gone half of the month. now, thatis a problem. i so wanted to take out the word trainee in my job title.

wait a minute. i forgot something. i've got to find some elton john cds. i'm digging tiny dancer currently.

errr... what now? i've had enough. sorry for the bother. later.

walang nagbago

(kaya mong mag-rhyme dyan eh.)

The Mad Tea Party

"So," said Kesey, his voice shifting, "you're walking down the street one day and you see God. He's got the blue eyes of Jesus and the white beard of Moses and the sword of Krishna and the bow and arrow of Diana, and he says to you 'Come with me! Come with me!' What do you do? Do you go with God?" Kesey paused, the silent drama of the question built. All of a sudden he pounded the table, startling some of the students, galvanizing the class. "No!" he roared. "The job of the writer is to say, 'Fuck you, God! Fuck you and the Old Testament you rode in on!' You're writers, your job is to kiss no ass!"

-- Ken Kesey, as quoted in Esquire magazine

    "Disappear Here."

    Who's mad?

"But I don't want to go among mad people, " Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat. "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
